Project Messiah is offering up the basic version of messiahStudio, a 3d cg application with a focus on character animation, for $10 if they can get enough takers. If you want to go pro, it’ll only cost you $40. However, we need to reach the goal, or no messiahStudio for anyone. I got my order in for pro.

Time for my annual post – here we go. First last year’s resolutions -

• Lost at least six pounds (I’m now down to 229 lbs)
• Did not make it to a BAAU meeting (but I did post on the forum).
• Almost made it to one figure drawing class.
• yeah… no comics posted. Need to focus on a story.
• I finished like two sketchbooks, and washed another two.
• I think I was the best dad I could be this year
• I think I could have been a better artist.

…and we all  know how well the 2009 resolutions turned out. So let’s see how many I can keep this year

• Lose at least 6 lbs this year from what I weighed at the start of this year (236 lb, I am one fat man).
• Go to at least one BAAU meetup.
• Go to at least one figure drawing thing at the Palo Alto Art Center.
• Post at least 12 comics.
• Finish a sketchbook (I have like five or so going on. I’m great at starting, crap at finishing).
• Be the best dad I can possibly be.
• Be an artist.

Yes, it’s 2010, the year we make contact. Or is this the year we get attacked by the Zentradi? Or was that last year?

I think I’ll get my cyberware and move to Night City.

Update – yes it was 2009 (February 22nd, it looks like) when the Macross launched. I was too busy with my daughter being born to notice.

Tomorrow is Drawing Day, and I may need to use the Brainstormer for random drawing ideas.

It seems to like nuclear for me.

Those who friended me on facebook will notice that I’ve been mentioning this. If you draw, check this out. I’m really hoping to use this to motivate me to draw something. I may even break out the large paper and charcoals.

I’ve done #40 from 75 Ways to Draw a few times, it’s lead me to also do #12 (draw my tooth brush) a few times. I did one good toothbrush pic, but I can’t find it. So for now, here’s #40 (look it up).
